Things to see and do roundabout

 

Relax or have a rock-pool ramble on the secluded beaches at Cove Harbour, Thorntonloch, Skateraw, Barns Ness, White Sands or Pease Bay.

Bird watching at St. Abbs, Seabird Centre, North Berwick, or Lindesfarne.

Diving at St. Abbs, Eyemouth or Dunbar.

Golf at Dunbar, Eyemouth, Whitekirk, Duns.

River, loch and sea fishing.

Walk part of the Southern Upland Way, John Muir Way, cliff-top walks along the coast stretching between Burnmouth and Dunbar, or experience a guided walk and talk around the walls of the historic town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed.

Visit some of the historic houses throughout the Borders, e.g. Manderson, Floors Castle, Mellerstain, Abbotsford, Traquair, Bowhill, Thirlestane, Paxton House (all with varied themed events throughout the season).

Have a day out (or perhaps several days) and visit Edinburgh.  Take a city bus tour, or visit Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Royal Yacht Britannia, Botanical Gardens, Museums, Scottish Parliament, Royal Mile, Ghost Tours, Theatres, experience the Festival, have a great day at the shops, plus lots, lots more.  (Trains from Dunbar or Park & Ride nearer Edinburgh).
